This breath-taking medieval village is an absolute must when you are in the French Riviera. Especially in September we recommend that you visit it for the harvest festivities that take place around the centre of town. The town is surrounded by a city-wall, and in the oldest part there are tiny galleries, and small boutiques with postcards and artsy things. Ideal for the art fanatics.
It can be easily reached by bus from Nice, you take the 400 bus, it costs 1 EUR 50 per person. The last busses go back around 20:00, upon arrival it is recommended you check the bus times on the other side of the road, and once you have done so – cross the road again until you are on the same side as L’Occitane en Provence, the body products shop.
The city is on a hill, and therefore you will have a beautiful view. Don’t forget to find the cemetery, and Marc Chagall’s grave. The place is very picturesque.
